Went back into equities

In the article entitled "Going back into equities - 8th December 08" I picked out four shares that enjoyed high yields as an alternative to bank deposits paying minimum interest. These shares were to be tracked periodically to see if capital gain could also be secured. After two months, the result is as follows. Costs of dealing and stamp duty have not been taken into account

Centrica 212.5 264.7 +24.6%

Severn Trent 1052.0 1112.0 +5.7%

Average over equal stake +12.2%

These shares will continue to be followed together with six that were purchased for my personal portfolio.
